The Continent makes expert opinion the driving force behind online media in Europe. In a time of disinformation, rising populism and endless channels of information, it is crucial to ask the right people the right questions. Contributors have included several acclaimed authors, professors, economists and politicians such as former President of the United Nations General Assembly Mogens Lykketoft, CEO of the World Fair Trade Organization Erinch Sahan, President of Kellogg College, University of Oxford Jonathan Michie as well as world renowned historian Timothy Garton Ash.
The Continent was founded by Jesper Damberg, Jeppe Damberg and Herman Lange in 2018. Students of London School of Economics, SciencesPo Paris and Northwestern University, they believe that The Continent can combat disinformation as well as encourage debate on European issues by giving experts a larger, more diverse audience on social media.
